It’s still six months from the start of EAA
AirVenture 2008, but another sign that planning is well underway is this
weekend’s annual gathering of the warbird flight line volunteers. More than
30 volunteers are reviewing warbird operations during the 2007 fly-in and
planning for the ever-popular warbird events in 2008.
These volunteers are a small segment of the
hundreds of volunteer chairmen and thousands of volunteers who help AirVenture
operations run smoothly each year. The warbird area at AirVenture 2008 will
again feature magnificent airplanes and unique programs, as well as special
events and anniversaries. That includes the 60th anniversary of the CJ-6A
aircraft and well as other historic commemorations.
