Overcast"
Flight are offered throughout AirVenture week, based at Outagamie Regional
Airport in Appleton (20 miles north, shuttles provided). Complete details
are available at www.b17.org
or by calling EAA Member Services at 800-356-6322.
Bicycles
Bicycles are allowed in camping areas only. Prohibited along the flight line
or inside AirVenture gates. Bicycle parking areas are available near each
admission gate along the flight line. Bicycle owners are encouraged to bring
a lock.
Buses/shuttles, off grounds
There are a variety of buses and
shuttles to the grounds that can ease your transportation needs. The
Oshkosh city bus system runs regular routes to the Main Gate during the
event. There shuttles from Appleton, Green Bay and Fond du Lac, daily routes
from various other cities and daily service from Milwaukee Mitchell and
Chicago O'Hare/Midway airports. In addition, Greyhound Bus Lines serves
Oshkosh at the Wittman Regional Airport terminal.
Buses/shuttles, on grounds
Shuttle buses to the AirVenture Museum run continually through the day from
the Bus Park near the Main Gate to the Museum.
For North 40 campers, shuttle
buses operate continuously throughout the day along the Perimeter Road from
the North 40 admission gate to Basler Flight Service.
Trams run throughout grounds
during the day, as well as to "South 40" showplane camping and
Ultralight areas.
There are also regular shuttle
bus runs from the grounds to the EAA Seaplane Base on Lake Winnebago. |
