International Visitors Tent
The International Visitor’s Tent, located north of the FAA Control Tower on Waukau Avenue, is in its 36th year of operation at the fly-in. Volunteer interpreters assist visitors in dozens of languages, providing answers about AirVenture, housing, restaurants, shopping and other questions. The International Visitors' Tent also serves as a 'home-away-from-home', a place to relax during all the activities.
The International Visitors Tent is also the
starting point for the annual Parade of Nations. Members of each nation's
contingent march under their respective flags from the International
Visitors' Tent to the air show announcers' area, where they are welcomed to
the event by EAA officials.
Internet Access
While wireless Internet access may not be available throughout the
grounds, there are a number of locations throughout the Camp Scholler and
North 40 areas that do have free access. In addition, the popular Internet
café is available in EAA Welcome Center, where EAA members can check e-mail
while at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. Six stations, plus two ports for laptops,
are also available in the Welcome Center area in Camp Scholler. |
