this shuttle). Driving to
the Seaplane Base is discouraged because of the limited parking.
The Seaplane Base has a full schedule of
activities and a number of exhibitors who specialize in water flying
products.
Visit the Oshkosh
Seaplane Base website for more information.
Security
The Winnebago County Sheriff's Department is located just west of the FAA
control tower on Waukau Avenue. EAA Security also has personnel stationed
throughout the grounds.
In case of immediate emergency, dial 911 or contact any EAA Security person.
Shipping Services
Showers
Portable showers are located in Homebuilt camping, Showplane camping, Ollie's Park (near Vintage camping), and Ultralight camping (South 40). Shower buildings are in Camp Scholler, Transient and North 40 camping, and Warbirds camping.
Shuttle Buses
There are a variety of shuttles that operate from the EAA grounds.
Smoking
Because aviation fuel is extremely flammable, there is NO SMOKING allowed on the flightline, near any aircraft, or in any EAA buildings. There are designated smoking areas on site. Smoking in a non-designated area is prohibited.
Souvenirs
Official EAA merchandise and souvenirs are available throughout the grounds.
The Wearhouse, on the west edge of Phillips 66 Plaza, and the Sky Shoppe,
just north of Phillips 66 Plaza, are the two primary merchandise buildings.
Other merchandise tents are located throughout the grounds.
In addition, some aircraft areas such as Vintage and Warbirds also feature
their own merchandise for sale during the event.
Speakers, Forums and Presentations
There are nearly 1,000 presentations on the grounds throughout AirVenture
week.
Strollers/Wagons
Strollers and wagons are permitted on-site. Strollers are available to rent at the Main Gate entrance and at Gate 346 (next to the Red Lot parking area) through Vista Mobility, Inc.
