EAA AirVenture Seaplane Base
Supported by Mercury Marine

Nestled deep in the trees in a picturesque cove along the Lake Winnebago shore is a place where all AirVenture visitors should try to visit: The AirVenture Seaplane Base, supported by Mercury Marine, where the runway requirements specify depth as well as length. Buses make regular runs between the AirVenture grounds and the Seaplane Base. The buses depart the AirVenture grounds from the Bus Park Tower.

Seaplane base pace offers a respite from AirVenture's hustle and bustle. People often just sit on the shore and watch the planes come and go.

The Watermelon Social is the Seaplane Bases' big annual event, held on Saturday night.

Visit the Oshkosh Seaplane Base website for more information. (The History of the EAA AirVenture Seaplane Base)
