Are you ready for some Foreigner?

Mick Jones leads the current lineup of Foreigner, scheduled to play Monday on AeroShell Square.

AeroShell Square will once again be rockin’ on EAA AirVenture’s opening day when the legendary band Foreigner takes the stage following the afternoon air show, courtesy of Ford Motor Company. The performance, free of charge to all AirVenture guests that day, will begin at 5:30 p.m. adjacent to the Ford Motor Company Hangar on AeroShell Square.

Like AirVenture, Foreigner is known the world over and has attracted multiple generations of fans. Led by the band’s co-founder, guitarist Mick Jones, Foreigner has sold more than 70 million albums and played at venues around the world.

Foreigner is known for its mix of blues, rock and pop that has left an indelible mark on music history. Among its best-known hits are rock classics such as their breakthrough hit "Feels Like the First Time," "Cold as Ice," "Hot Blooded" and "Urgent." The band also scored two international No. 1 hits, "I Want to Know What Love Is" and "Waiting for a Girl Like You."

Ford’s support of the opening-day concert at EAA AirVenture, along with the Fly-In Theater, the vehicles used during the event, and discounts on Ford Motor Company vehicles for EAA members, continues to highlight Ford’s support for EAA members. Ford will also display the latest technologies, concepts, and production vehicles at the Ford Hangar to engage EAA members and AirVenture attendees during this year’s fly-in.

FUTURE AIRVENTURE DATES: 2014: July 28-Aug. 3; 2015: July 20-26; 2016: July 25-31; 2017: July 24-30
