Remember that awesome chase scene in the
movie Bullitt starring Steve McQueen? The one where he drives a '68
Ford Mustang GT through the streets of San Francisco and outlying
highways in pursuit of the bad guys? It's commonly called one of the
greatest chase scenes in motion picture history.
Ford Motor Company has re-created
that great car, the 2009 Limited Edition Ford Mustang Bullitt, and
EAA's 2008 Young Eagles Raffle is giving one away on the final day
of AirVenture. Only 1,500 tickets are available for $100 each,
available at one of the Young Eagles Raffle ticket booths located on
convention grounds or at the EAA AirVenture Museum. Raffle proceeds
help support EAA youth education outreach activities, including the
Young Eagles program. The car is provided courtesy of Ford Custom
Accessories and EAA, with support from Racette Ford of Oshkosh.
Other prizes in the raffle include
$5,000 cash and an EAA Lifetime Membership. In addition, six early
bird drawings of $1,000 each will be held throughout the week
beginning Monday, July 28, at the Foreigner concert.
Other early bird drawings are
Tuesday, July 29, 8:30 p.m., at the EAA Fly-In Theater; Wednesday,
July 30, 7 p.m., at the Jeff Dunham performance at Theater in the
Woods; Thursday, July 31, 9:30 p.m., at the Gathering of Eagles gala
at the AirVenture Museum; Friday, August 1, 7 p.m., at the Gary
Sinise Lt.
Dan Band concert at Theater in the Woods; and Saturday, August 2,
following the daily air show, at about 6 p.m. (Early bird winners
are still eligible for each subsequent drawing.)
Winners need not be present to win.
