Two lives lost in fatal
crash
|
|
Two people were killed Thursday morning when
a Lancair Legacy FG crashed off the east end of Wittman Regional
Airport's Runway 27. According to the Winnebago County Coroner's Office,
the victims were Roger Bock, 62, of Carnegie, Pennsylvania, and John F.
Linden, 56, of Washington, Pennsylvania. The aircraft, N515RB, was
registered to Bock, according to FAA registration records.
"Our thoughts and prayers go to the
families of those who died in this accident," said EAA President
Tom Poberezny. "Anytime we lose members of the aviation family we
are saddened. We will remember them as fellow fliers who enjoyed the
spirit of aviation."
The NTSB and the FAA are investigating
the cause of the crash. |
