EAA AirVenture Oshkosh RSS FeedGrimes Lightship to show its colors

July 27, 2009 - Oshkosh, WisconsinThe restored Grimes Flying Laboratory, a Beech 18 festooned with 55 aircraft lights of all different types on its exterior, is expected to fly today at dusk, conditions permitting.

Covered with almost every imaginable type of aircraft light, including some of the brightest strobe lights ever manufactured, the twin Beech should be quite a spectacle as it orbits the EAA AirVenture grounds.

FUTURE AIRVENTURE DATES: 2014: July 28-Aug. 3; 2015: July 20-26; 2016: July 25-31; 2017: July 24-30
