August 1, 2009 - Oshkosh, Wisconsin  - Five EAA directors were re-elected to three-year terms on the EAA board this morning at the annual meeting held at Theater in the Woods. They are Jack Harrington, David Lau, Dave Pasahow, Dan Schwinn, and Alan Shackleton. Barry Davis was newly elected.

EAA President and Chairman Tom Poberezny, remarking about this year's convention, said the week reinforced AirVenture as the premier aviation event. "This week has once again shown the outstanding relationship between EAA members and the event," he said. "The best day was every day."

Tough economic times led people to make tough choices this year, Poberezny said, "and people chose to be here."
