The winning entry from 2009, "Louise Thaden, Pioneer of the Air," created by Karen Davisson, Edgewood, New Mexico.

Those who fancy themselves as quilt artists still have time to enter the EAA Aviation Quilt Block Contest, held in conjunction with AirVenture Oshkosh. Winning entries are put on prominent display at the EAA AirVenture Museum at the start of the convention, and then they remain on display until the next AirVenture. Winners are also displayed on a special page of the EAA AirVenture website. (See the 2009 winners.)

Quilt block entries must be received by June 1, 2010, and need to be accompanied by an entry form. To download the form, and find out everything you need to know about entering the competition, visit the quilt block page on the AirVenture website. This could be your year for a first place award at Oshkosh, so enter today!
