Interest is heating up in EAA's first "Spirit of Aviation Auction" as a number of aircraft owners are taking advantage of the unique opportunity to sell their aircraft at the World's Greatest Aviation Celebration, AirVenture Oshkosh 2010. Among the first airplanes to register for the auction include a 1961 Paris Jet MS-760 (N7601R) and a 1993 PZL-104 Wilga 80 (N7080D).
"We're very excited about the opportunity to bring another great activity to Oshkosh," said Tom Poberezny, EAA chairman/president. "We've received a lot of inquiries from owners of a wide range of aircraft, with several either registered or pending approval. We've also seen increasing interest from people wanting to know about what will be on the auction block."
The auction is set to begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, at EAA's Jack Mark Hangar located on the north side of Wittman Regional Airport. The process of registering for consignment is easy. Visit the auction website, which will walk you through the process. Experts are standing by to assist you at any point of the process, and there's an FAQ list to answer many of the questions you may have.
So if you have an aircraft you wish to sell at Oshkosh this year, don't delay! The number of auction aircraft will be limited, so sign up today to reserve your position!
