Aviation artist Sam Lyons of Lakeland, Florida, will hold a contest at AirVenture Oshkosh this year to name his newest painting, a pretty Piper Cub on floats in a tropical setting. Attendees at AirVenture are invited to come by the Lyons Studio booth #2028 in Building B. The 30 x 24 inch framed original will be on display, and each person can submit two names on available.
Shortly after the show, Sam and his wife, Mindy, will judge the submissions and select the winner, who will be notified on Friday, August 6. The winner will receive a limited edition print of the work.
Previous popular Cub prints, including "Anticipation," "J3 Morning," and "Yellow Lure," were named by fans of Sam's artwork. See Sam's aviation art at www.LyonsStudio.com.
