Airguide Publications, publisher of the
popular Flight Guide series of in-cockpit references, earlier this month
announced their new application for the Apple iPad tablet, Flight Guide
iEFB.
The new application is the latest in the
company’s line of electronic airport, flight planning and en route
data offerings.
“Flight Guide iEFB provides a
revolutionary new way to store and display pertinent airport, chart and
supplementary data during flight or planning purposes for general
aviation pilots,” said Brenda Garcia, publisher, Airguide
Publications.
A variety of data plans are available
with the new application, according to Garcia, including sectionals,
terminal area charts and approach plates, plus low- and high-altitude en
route charts for the lower 48, Alaska, Hawaii and the Caribbean.
“Each airport also includes a ‘content
list’ feature, allowing quick and easy access to all of the current
airport’s associated charts with just a touch,” Garcia said.
“Flight Guide iEFB incorporates
geo-referenced ‘hyper-linked’ charts allowing you to instantly bring
up any airport’s information page by simply touching that airport’s
icon on the chart,” she added.
Flight Guide iEFB is available from the
Apple App Store as a free download. Data plan pricing ranges from $9.95
to $19.95 per month.
