EAA has received updates this week from the numerous aircraft groups planning to arrive en masse at Wittman Regional Airport for AirVenture 2011. The largest group this year will be Bonanzas to Oshkosh (B2Osh) with 115 aircraft scheduled to arrive beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 23. B2Osh stages at Rockford (Illinois) Municipal (RFD).
On Friday, a group of 30 Cherokees is scheduled to begin arrival at 1 p.m. after the short hop from Waupaca (PCZ).
Cessnas 2 Oshkosh will have 65 aircraft in its mass arrival, slated for 2:30 on Saturday departing from Dodge County Airport (UNU) in Juneau, Wisconsin, while the Mooney Caravan estimates 50 airplanes joining its annual flight for its 4 p.m. Oshkosh arrival from Madison Dane County Regional Airport (MSN).
On Sunday, Comanches to Oshkosh plans 35 aircraft to join the journey to OSH from Watertown (RYV), with arrivals starting at 11:30 a.m. Later that day, at 4:30 p.m., look for as many as 45 airplanes (35 racers and 10 support aircraft) to begin arriving from the 2011 AirVenture Cup Race after they cross the finish line near Montello, Wisconsin.
