From sunrise to well past sundown, airplanes, fireworks, and entertainment will make for a spectacular finale during the closing three days of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2011.

Among the weekend highlights at Oshkosh is the first public showcase anywhere in the world of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner on Friday, July 29, and an action-packed Super Saturday presented by Southwest Airlines on Saturday, July 30, which will feature the widely popular Rockwell Collins Night Air Show and Daher-Socata Fireworks preceded by a pair of concerts - country star Aaron Tippin, presented by FedEx, and Da Blooze Bros "Blues Brothers" tribute band, presented by Ford Motor Company.

As part of a special "Salute to Veterans" reunion day with the Disabled American Veterans on July 29, all veterans and active military personnel in attendance are invited to participate in a veterans' parade beginning at 2 p.m. and concluding with special recognition on ConocoPhillips Plaza. Back for an encore performance, actor and veterans advocate Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band close the day with an evening concert that is expected to again draw thousands to Theater in the Woods as it did in 2010.

Also featured will be the largest collection of flying naval aircraft spanning all eras ever assembled in one location as part of the week-long Centennial of Naval Aviation celebration, special appearances by aviation icon Burt Rutan, "Warbirds Extravaganza" afternoon air shows featuring pyrotechnics on July 29-30, the "WomenVenture" recognition to women pilots on July 29, a mass hot air balloon launch on the early morning of July 30, nightly movies at the Fly-In Theater presented by Ford Motor Company, and much more included with regular AirVenture admission rates.

"There is so much going on throughout each day of AirVenture that it's almost impossible to say one day is the best one to be at Oshkosh," said Tom Poberezny, EAA and AirVenture chairman. "From all the flying activities and musical entertainment to the epic appearance of the Boeing 787 on Friday, July 29, the excitement and activities are nonstop right through the final hour of the event."

Additionally, the final day of AirVenture - Sunday, July 31 - is Family Day, where all young people ages 18 and under are admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult.
