Boeing Corporation has announced the itinerary for the landmark appearance of its new 787 Dreamliner during AirVenture on Friday, July 29. This will be the airplane's first hands-on viewing and touring opportunity for the general public. And you can track its progress as it heads east from Seattle via FlightAware.com by tracking BOE787.
Wheels up for 787 is scheduled for "oh-dark-thirty" from Seattle, with an estimated arrival to Oshkosh at 9:15. After one pass, touchdown is estimated at 9:30 a.m.
Public tours of the aircraft are scheduled to start at 11 and run through 5 p.m.
The flight crew will be on EAA Radio at 11 a.m. live from the EAA Welcome Center, then on ConocoPhillips Plaza for "Plane Talk" with Jerry Burke at noon.
Dreamliner departure is scheduled for 6 p.m. as the aircraft assumes the final act of the Friday air show.
