Kalamazoo Air Zoo's Ford Tri-Motor, N8449, will pair up with EAA's Tri-Motor to provide flights during AirVenture next week. The Kalamazoo aircraft is painted in Army Air Corps colors, and like EAA's is a 1929 model.
The addition a second Tri-Motor will provide more opportunities for AirVenture attendees to fly on a vintage airliner. Ford Tri-Motors were the first all-metal airliners in the world. To book your flight during the convention, head on over to the south end of the warbird flightline and look for the Tri-Motor ticket stand. Price is $70 per person. Tickets can be purchased on day of flight at the Tri-Motor building located at the south end of the Warbirds area or avoid lines by purchasing online.
