This year marks the 25th anniversary of arguably the most incredible flight ever—the Voyager flight, in which the Burt Rutan Model 76 Voyager aircraft flew around the world nonstop without refueling. EAA will help celebrate this achievement with a special Evening With Voyager on Friday in the AirVenture Museum, to be held near the mock-up display.
This ticketed event runs from 7 to 10 p.m. and is free to attend. There are 1,250 tickets available, and you can get yours at the EAA Welcome Center.
An Evening With Voyager schedule
- 7 p.m. Dedication of Jeff Rutan’s Lego exhibit
- 7:20 p.m. SpaceShipOne video in the Voyager exhibit
- 7:30 p.m. Re-dedication of the Voyager exhibit and introduction of new artifacts (featuring Dick Rutan and Tom Poberezny)
- 8 p.m. Main program in Eagle Hangar (featuring Dick Rutan, Burt Rutan, John Roncz, Jack Norris, Mike Melvill, and other guests to be announced).
