Sporty’s free app for EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2011 is available for both Apple devices (iPhones, iPads, iPod Touch) and Android devices (phones and tablets) and includes everything show-goers need, from maps, to guides, schedules, and even late-breaking news.
With the AirVenture app you can get up-to-the-minute announcements via the live news and Twitter feeds. There’s also a complete AirVenture NOTAM for arrival and departure procedures as well as VFR route planning, aerial images, and much more information for pilots.
The AirVenture app has maps of the entire show grounds, including individual hangar and display areas for locating specific exhibits. You can mark those you want to visit in a favorites list.
There’s also a master list of forums and presentations that allows you to organize events into a favorites list. Schedules for workshops, the daily air show, and the evening programs are also included.
Sporty’s AirVenture app works on all Apple devices, including iPad, iPad 2, iPhone, and iPod Touch. Another version of the app is designed for Android, including tablets.
