| Three new pilots received their wings in the Able Flight ceremony at AirVenture 2011. |
Able Flight has announced the six new pilots who will get their wings at an AirVenture pinning ceremony scheduled for Tuesday, July 24 at 11:45 a.m. at Phillips 66 Plaza. The pilots earned their sport pilot certificates at a five-week training program at Purdue University's Department of Aviation Technology.
They are Wesley Major, Jason Jernigan, Matt Sponaugle, Tyrell Rhodes, Devon Radloff, and Steven Scott, and AirVenture attendees are welcome to attend the pinning ceremony.
Not only have these honorees handled the usual challenges of pilot training with weather and maintenance delays, but they have also overcome physical disabilities to do so. The wings pinning ceremony during EAA AirVenture will honor their achievements and is one of the most special moments in the pilot training process.
