March 28, 2013 - EAA's Innovations Pavilion, a new exhibit and presentation area at AirVenture that showcases what's new and exciting in aviation and space, will feature established innovators along with emerging entrepreneurs - many of whom could qualify to receive one of 15 exhibit booths for no charge.
Located on Celebration Way across from EAA's Welcome Center, this exciting new venue aims to explore the current state of aviation technology and development, present cutting-edge concepts that inspire participation, and imagine the future. This will help the next generation not only visualize themselves in this new world, but become engaged to bring it forward.
"It is our hope that this complimentary exhibit space and the exposure provided to these new companies will stimulate their growth and success," said Elissa Lines, EAA vice president of donor and business relations.
An Innovations Pavilion stage where daily forum presentations will be conducted will also be available. A preliminary schedule of topics includes:
- Monday, July 29: "Green Technology, Alternative Fuels, and Propulsion"
- Tuesday, July 30: "Start-Up Aviation Day"
- Wednesday, July 31: "How Innovation Happens: Organizing to Enable Innovation"
- Thursday, August 1: "Space Odyssey 2013: Space Commercialization and Exploration"
- Friday, August 2: "Tomorrow Is Today: Technological Advancements"
Applications are now being accepted for the 15 complimentary exhibit spaces, each measuring 10 feet by 10 feet. Download an application
