July 18, 2013 - LiveAirShowTV announced it will provide live coverage of the action in the sky and on the ground during AirVenture 2013.
Multiple plane-mounted cameras and ground-based cameras will capture the action and feed it to large LED screens located just south of the main taxiway at show center. Their positioning will provide views for attendees located up and down the flightline.
Mark Magin, of On Board Images, is teaming with LiveAirShowTV to produce in-cockpit video from several planes, the performers parking area, and of course Yves "Jetman" Rossy, who makes his public flying debut in America with several flights in Oshkosh this year.
Each morning, the LED screens will come alive with programming provided by EAA Video, as well as feature videos from LiveAirShowTV. At 2:30 p.m. each day, the air show kicks off and fans will get an even better look at some of the air show industry's best performers.
Rossy will be taken aloft by helicopter, fall away, and fire up his jet engines to fly above Wittman Regional Airport with his jet wing. AirVenture attendees will be on board with him as mounted cameras to his winged suit give them a close-up view of Rossy's flights.
"Our goal has always been to take fans where they can't go at an air show," said Jeff Lee, LiveAirShowTV president. "This may be the highest form of that. Fans will ride along with Yves, who flies without an airplane! We are very excited to be able to capture this great event and bring it to the fans on the field with special in-depth views that adds to what they see during the show."
