July 23, 2013 - The Airplane Factory of South Africa, whose team has made two circumnavigations since 2006, is flying one of its new four-place Sling 4 production airplanes from South Africa to Oshkosh, and it is sharing its journey on the Internet.
Company founder Mike Blyth and his son, Greg, are heading north from South Africa, flying to the Azores in the Eastern Atlantic, then it's 1,300-plus nautical miles across the pond to St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, and on to Wittman Regional Airport and AirVenture Oshkosh 2013. Time of expected arrival has not been provided.
The voyage began on July 20, and the Airplane Factory welcomes everyone to follow it live. Register with username email@example.com and password indigosat.
Once they get to Oshkosh, The Airplane Factory will be in exhibit booths 608 and 619.
