July 24, 2013 - A new 10-part video series showing the wide variety of careers offered by the aviation industry will debut at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2013. The series was created in partnership with EAA Young Eagles, the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) Foundation, and LiveAirShowTV.
The mission of EAA and Young Eagles is to increase participation in aviation, and this video series showcases a variety of careers that are available to those who have a passion for flight. Each video focuses on a specific aviation career and highlights a personal story in that field.
Careers featured include aircraft mechanic, airline dispatcher, airline operations manager, aircraft manufacturing specialist, air safety specialist, and several others.
"Having a passion for aviation can be more than just a hobby," said Bret Steffen, EAA director of education. "These videos demonstrate how people can fulfill that love of flight everyday through a variety of careers."
The videos will premiere at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 1, in the Chapters and Young Eagles Pavilion. After the debut, the videos will be available online on the Young Eagles and LiveAirShowTV websites.
