EAA Radio is an all-volunteer effort that strives to bring the sounds of AirVenture to convention attendees and EAA members around the world. EAA Radio's AM and FM signals and webstream originate from The Bill Fobes Broadcast Center, located on the AirVenture grounds (building 155 on the
site map).
For the 14th straight year EAA Radio will offer 24/7 programming on AM 1210, 100.7 FM and around the world through the EAA Radio webstream. Beginning each day at 0700 CDT/1200 Zulu EAA Radio broadcasts live interviews with compelling aviation figures from all corners of aviation.
In any given hour you can hear a conversation with a famous test pilot, the last word on ATC etiquette, the newest innovation in homebuilt aircraft, or the deeply personal journey of an amateur builder. Not all AirVenture stories are told in the studio. EAA Radio's team of ambitious field reporters are constantly roving the grounds talking to aviation luminaries and attendees; making it possible that you may hear from everyone that attended AirVenture in 2008. EAA Radio has this all as well as coverage of important events across the convention grounds such as the Meet the Administrator forum, new product announcements, and the Daily Showcase and Air Show.
In the evening EAA Radio brings to you live, Theater-in-the-Woods with its colorful line-up of awards presentations, speakers, and entertainment. For AirVenture attendees, EAA Radio is a mobile source for convention information including: key events, weather, information on EAA services, and twice-hourly announcements of upcoming forums taking place across AirVenture.
EAA Radio continues to diversify its programming and this year will have several new daily features, as well as unique on-air programming that can only occur at AirVenture.
